Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 17, 2025 · Effective: April 17, 2025
Introx ("we", "our", or "us") built the Introx Android app as a business productivity service that automatically sends your professional introduction SMS message after phone calls. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, why we need it, how we protect it, and your rights. We keep it plain and honest.

1 Who We Are
Introx is a professional communication tool developed by Abhi Tribhuvan. Our app helps individuals and businesses automatically send a short professional introduction SMS message to callers after every call ends, so every call becomes a lasting connection.

2 Data We Collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the service:
- Account Data: Your mobile number (used as your username to log in).
- Profile Data: Your name, business name, services, website, email — entered voluntarily by you to build your introduction message.
- Call Phone Numbers: The phone number of incoming/outgoing callers — used only to send your introduction SMS to that number after the call ends. Not stored beyond the immediate send operation (except for sending frequency tracking).
- SMS Send Logs: A local count of how many SMS messages have been sent today and in total — stored on your device only, never transmitted to our servers.
- Device Info: Device ID generated locally for session management — not linked to personal identity.
- Location Data (City/State): We collect coarse location data (City/State) for analytics, usage insights, and ensuring regional compliance.
- Usage Analytics: Anonymous counters (total SMS sent) — purely for your in-app dashboard, not shared externally.
We do not collect or store call recordings. We do not read the content of any SMS messages you receive. We do not track your precise GPS location.
3 Android Permissions — Explained
Introx requests the following sensitive Android permissions. Each one has a specific, user-facing purpose:
READ_PHONE_STATE & READ_CALL_LOG
Why: To detect when a phone call starts and ends, and to identify the caller's phone number. This is the core trigger for the automated SMS feature. Without this, the app cannot know when a call has ended.
SEND_SMS
Why: To send your professional introduction message from your SIM to the caller after a call ends. Your SMS message is sent directly from your device — not routed through our servers.
READ_CONTACTS
Why: To personalise messages and let you choose which contacts to include/exclude from automatic SMS. Also used to display your contact list in the Blacklist screen.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Why: To show a persistent foreground service notification (required by Android) while the auto-SMS background service is running. You can dismiss or disable this in system settings.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE / SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
Why: FOREGROUND_SERVICE keeps the call detection active. SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW enables the optional "Ask Before Sending" popup that appears on your screen after a call, letting you confirm or cancel each SMS before it's sent.
INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Why: To communicate with our backend for account authentication, subscription status, and the optional AI-powered message generator. All network calls use HTTPS encryption.
READ_CALL_LOG and SEND_SMS are classified as sensitive permissions by Google Play. We use them solely to detect call-end events and send your chosen message to that caller. We never use these to read your call history for commercial purposes or transmit your call logs off your device.
4 How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate your account and maintain your session.
- To detect call events and trigger your automated SMS after a call ends.
- To personalise and generate your professional introduction message.
- To enforce your chosen sending preferences (call direction, frequency, blacklist).
- To show you your own usage analytics (daily & total SMS count) in the dashboard.
- To send subscription status alerts when your plan expires.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
6 Data Storage & Security
On-device: Your settings, message templates, sending frequency records, and SMS count logs are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This data is not backed up to Google's cloud backup service.
On our servers: Your account data is stored in a secured database. We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews.
Caller numbers: The caller's phone number is used in-memory at call-end time to send the SMS. It is not stored in our database — only a sending frequency record (number hash + timestamp) is kept locally on your device so we can respect your configured frequency setting (e.g. "once daily").
7 Data Retention
- Account data — Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
- On-device data — Cleared when you uninstall the app or use the in-app "Reset" function.
- Sending frequency records — Kept locally; you can reset them anytime from Dashboard → Analytics.
8 Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate profile data.
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Revoke permission — Revoke any Android permission at any time from your device Settings → Apps → Introx → Permissions. The app will notify you if a key permission is missing.
- Opt out — Disable the Auto SMS feature entirely by toggling it off in the app's Dashboard. The app will stop sending SMS without needing to be uninstalled.
- Portability — Request your profile data in a readable format.
To exercise any right, email us at support@introx.app with "Privacy Request" in the subject line.
9 Children's Privacy
Introx is intended for users aged 13 and above. It is a professional business tool designed for adults managing their own communication. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe your child has created an account, contact us immediately at support@introx.app and we will delete the account.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification or email (if provided) at least 7 days before the change takes effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
